Today was my birthday, and great thanks to everyone who put in the effort to prepare anything for my birthday, or just pop in a "happy birthday" greeting, because it made my day.
Thank you to MT12, 09S07A and ODAC24 for being there to celebrate my birthday. My JC life revolves around these 3 groups of people, and I am grateful that they are there to make life so much better for me.

Chem SPA totally kicked my ass today.
It was the most frantic one hour before a test. Not even Common Tests or PSLE could match up to the buildup to this Chem SPA.
Mugging everything possible, memorizing comments, errors, impacts and improvements, trying to write it all down under stressful circumstances (next to my friends beside me who are mugging as well), was frantic.
Nevertheless, it still kicked my ass.
Moral of the story: Chem will kick your ass no matter what. Stop chemwhoring you fool.

Once again, it is the date of Singapore's independence. I find that the difference between the NDPs every year is the year itself when the soldiers line up to form the words "NDP XX". Everything else remains constant during the parade (ceteris paribus) :/
Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony held yesterday (08/08/08) was brilliant. They really made use of their resources (people, and err... yea people) very well to create performances of such large magnitudes, synchronizing everything together almost perfectly, which can be said to symbolize the unity of their nation. Even apathetic people like myself, who have not bothered about such performances for a long long time, found the performance simply amazing. For once, kudos to China for the great performance. (I am still pissed with that China scholar who stole my free gold trophy for table tennis IHC. Hmph.)

I signed up for three events for IHC:
1) Tennis
2) Table tennis
3) Floorball
Tennis I didn't even get to play because maybe I'm not good enough. Turns out MT got first so maybe the team was really very imba so I'm fine with that.
Table tennis MT got first again, but I know that I was definitely good enough for the team, which I unfortunately did not make it into. This cool recre table tennis guy from China come and take a slot just because he hails from a lineage of pro table tennis players i.e. China players = pro table tennis players. Anyway he got his ass handed to him, everyone said he sucked, and he was using some godlike bat. MT still won, but it's no thanks to him. Most importantly, he took away my free trophy T_T Damn pissed.
Floorball we got into the quarterfinals, which I fully expected to lose because we were playing against a team of hockers like Ned and Andre (Christian's brother). Then turns out first minute we score 2 goals liao :/ Final score was like 10-2. Total gayness. Then next up was semifinals against Guo Wei and Guan Chua, who owned our team 5-1 during group stages. This time we won 4-3 because of Ray and Andrew imbaness. They seriously just totally shut down Guo Wei that game. He didn't even get to hold the ball for long before getting tackled and getting counter-attacked. Guan Chua was still owning, but he's Guan Chua :/ No choice one.
Finals was against BW LOL. AGAINST LEECH'S TEAM.
We were talking in the toilet before floorball quarterfinals started while changing that we surely lose for our quarterfinal games already. He was up against Faris' team while I was up against Ned's team, which were very tough fixtures. Then we met in the finals :/
In the finals I didn't get to touch the ball because Ray and Andrew had to be given the chance to play for the full thing so they could play their best. They worked damn well together, and seriously played with a hell lot of passion. Seriously I think no one else could have taken Ray or Andrew's position and played as well as them. Anyway, this one damn guilty to admit, but I got free trophy :/ Played only during quarters and semis, finals didn't even get a chance to touch the ball.
To BW's credit, they played very well even if their goals were quite tyco - or at least 2 of them. Very entertaining match which went into overtime because the score was tied at full time.
We would have lost if not for a sick angle shot which Ray got in at the last second. Seriously, from my view he looked like he was behind the goal line, but he still managed to hit it in with supreme accuracy lol.
Then Andrew scored the winning goal in the top right corner. Chance well taken.
Credits also go to Lihua for being quite a good blocker, managing to halt the ball in many occasions and clear from dangerous situations.
In essence, I got lucky this time :/
