I finally got the last of all my test results on Friday, and wasn't really too happy that day because of one thing which I screwed up which I thought I wouldn't. Ah well life sucks :/
Anyway here are my grades:
Chemistry - B: This is the first result which I got back, and the first shock. Pleasant one though, because as far as I know it's quite alot better than the average of the school, so no complaints there. My friends, however, show me a =O face (that exact expression, just with 1000x more intensity), when I told them what I got for Chem, considering that it's honestly a rather tough paper (in my opinion). Happy happy joy joy, and now I don't understand Reaction Kinetics at all -.-
Economics - S: S for SCREW THIS @&#*$^@ paper! I know I didn't understand the case study, so failing that is a given, but failing the essay as well... that takes the cake. However, it does seem that failing the essay is the norm, which is a sign of either we are damn screwed, or the teachers are crazy markers, or both. Still, apparently, S is the average for the level, which is really really screwed up lol.
Geography - B: Another pleasant but not so unexpected B, not really a high B but still a B nevertheless. Quite a few people in our class got A apparently, so it's good to know that my class is good at Geography. Shihua got A even though she say she will fail - I'm sure you can predict your grade so far off lol. The guys who usually sit at the back of the class all utter pwnage, all scoring Bs. Woot!
Mathematics - B: After doing the paper, I know that I had 16 marks gone simply because of blanks. Hate it when you have the situation where if you don't do part (a) of a question, the rest of the parts of the questions are all undoable. Sucks, but that's the reality of maths. Anyway 16 marks gone, minus a few more marks due to careless mistakes, and tadaa A become B. Ironically, maths was one of my worst subjects in RI, so as usual my friends who hear of me getting B for maths all gave me that same =O expression (same intensity as with Chemistry), and yea just remained petrified there for quite awhile.
General Paper - C: Paper 2 was gotten back first, and I scored 30.5/50, which is essentially a B. At that point I was thinking, "OMG just score 30/50 for essay and I will get my B! Yippeee!!!" Then I got back my essay on Friday, and I got 24/50 -.- Don't really know why people consider my GP to be pro, even though I can get such marks. Aiya, at least next time I know that I should be more careful for my essay.
And that concludes the comments on all my papers. Time to wake up, people.
I realised that I suck at essays. That's really screwed because half of the papers I take require essays, and there's no way you can study how an essay is written. For me, it's just a question of mood. Good mood, write splendid essays. Bad mood, get owned by red crosses (oh wait not that Red Cross, I mean the marking one). And all the different subjects require different style of essay writing. Nonsense :/
