Abuse.

It's scary.
The stuff I see on my table that are left untouched since the start of the holidays till now.
The thick stacks of notes and worksheets that are filled with several times the content that was covered in secondary school.
The friends who give up playing to go on mugging frenzies, until it becomes so late at night it would be sunrise in a few more hours.
It's scary.
Reality hits when you realise that you have an expedition waiting for take away a week of your time, and although there are people who have it worse than me, I still find it stupid why I didn't make use of the remaining time to really hardcore mug.
I see friends putting in hours of mugging in a day, friends consulting here and there, friends who give up leisure for studying.
And then I start to think...
Is this abuse? I don't mean abuse as in the making use of a situation to make things better for yourself. I mean abuse as in physical abuse. Psychological abuse. Mental abuse. Are we meant to be sacrificing what we want to do in order to get a nice grade on a paper which is not guaranteed anyway? Are we meant to make sure our brains get pushed to their fullest potential, and force it to keep growing and absorbing more knowledge like an already fully-soaked sponge? Are we supposed to be sacrificing sleep for everything we do nowadays?
Mugging is definitely what a lot of people would not do given the choice. In a way, I would say that it's most definitely self-abuse.
Aiya at the end of the day, the most important thing is:
MUGGING SUCKS
