The mundane life

Friday, December 7, 2007

Ironically, I post more during the school term when we are actually supposed to be busy (well not me) as compared to the holidays where I have so much free time I don't know what to do.

My usual day consists of waking up, eating, gaming, chatting, etc etc until I sleep again. None without the mention of going out. So obviously there was really nothing much to blog about.

Fortunately, these two days I went out of my technologically-advanced cave and stepped into the world outside to play around with my friends.

Day 1: The day of basketball

This day was spent on nothing much else other than basketball, seriously. Given my frequent late nights, I woke up at around 1, and then went over to Corn's house to play around on his computer for awhile. He knew how to solve the Rubik's Cube surprisingly. Fabian joined us and we played pool... on the computer as well -.-

Following that, due to wet weather, we went over to Bedok CC to meet with Yew Jin (deceptively sounding like Eugene) and his friend Jeremy to play basketball. All I can say about my basketball at this moment in time is:

PWNED!

Totally got my ass handed to me in basketball. After that round of basketball which ended in some quarrel between a malay and Jeremy due mostly to the malay being unhappy over being constantly outplayed by him. Putting a punch (for Jeremy) and unhappy feelings aside, we went to play... you guessed it.

BASKETBALL ROUND 2! This time at Eunos CC, because it was sheltered again like Bedok CC. We played until 9 without dinner and I have improved this time round so I'm rather happy. Everyone only cheered especially loud when I scored -.- talk about suaning. Ate dinner, after which 2 out of the 5 of us had some serious leg cramps. I don't want to mention about the leg cramps part because it got Corn emo for awhile, thinking it was his fault -.-

Got home at 10.30 pm and did not get screwed by parents! It's at moments like this when suddenly I feel so happy about my parents :)

Day 2: The movie outing

With usual 4A movie outings, there would be a bunch of people going to watch, like a crowd of around 7-10 people. Today, there was a crowd of about 4 people. Me, Gene, leech and Yitao were the only ones who went to watch The Golden Compass, and as I saw in a movie trailer in another movie I watched sometime ago, it turned out to be quite a spectacle.

Leech bullshitted me about some Adam and Eve and Jesus thing when there was absolutely no such thing in the movie. In fact, I didn't see anything with religious themes in the movie at all! I wonder what the whole fracas about the religious themes in the movie are about. Maybe I didn't have such an inquisitive mind to view the movie from such an angle, but based on what I see, its just a nice fantasy movie to watch. I recommend it (Y) even though the ending was wtf because I didn't know that it's those kind of "sequel" show.

I suggested to go play pool, but in the end we just walked around aimlessly in Centrepoint and HMV. Why HMV? The retard leech said he wanted to look for the genre of WIZARD ROCK by The Parselmouths - IN BLOODY HMV. Seriously stupid -.-

Also, typical of 4A movie outings, there is absolutely no such thing as late-night outing because everyone goes home early. And for my church friends, if I of all people say that they go home early, it seriously is super early. And so as I was telling leech, my parents can tell whether I went out with my church friends or class friends simply by the time I come back. Not so good :(

Anyway, that concludes my two days in which I at least stepped out of my cave. For all that minor euphoria, I am now back in my cave and I think I will be in this cave all the way until I go to Thailand for my holiday! Weeee! Of course it definitely cannot be compared to Japan (which 2734837437 of the friends I know are going or have gone), USA (gene), France or Italy (bloody richass Cheeyang), but it's good enough for me. Coupled with the fact that I have not been in Thailand for years, maybe it's good to see just what has changed over the years.

P.S. Bon voyage leech, and it's no longer dead.
